The BreakWater Lodge Conferences, Business Accommodation in Cape TownFrom its Portswood Ridge vantage point, the Breakwater Hotel commands a bird’s eye view of the restored harbour, and forms part of the Breakwater Campus of the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business. The function venues are technologically advanced and equipped with modern state of the art audio-visual equipment, to facilitate virtually any type of conference or function.

The Breakwater Hotel has been impressively remodelled, though the essence of its historical design has been retained. It now offers a total of 300 bedrooms.

The prison building also accommodates the GSB’s offices, lecture theatres, function venues and seminar rooms.

This new executive meeting room, conveniently situated above the hotel's exclusive a la carte restaurant, increases the total number of venues to 62.

The plushly furnished Graduate Room has a large central boardroom table, comfortably accommodating ten delegates, a mini-bar, audio-visual facilities and air conditioning.

The attraction of The Breakwater Lodge as a conferencing facility has been enhanced by the proximity to the V&A Waterfront, the prestigious association with UCT's Graduate School of Business, and the economic pricing of room hire and catering at the myriad of venues. In the case of the Graduate Room, these attractions are augmented by the fantastic views of Table Mountain and the Alfred Basin.

The Breakwater Lodge Events Department offers a full range of venues, catering options and audio-visual equipment at cost effective rates. Ample parking facilities are also available to all conference delegates.

The Breakwater Hotel can cater for breakfasts, lunch and dinner buffets, cocktail parties and launches in one of our many function venues or restaurants. Alternatively the Hotel offers meals in Stonbreakers self-service Restaurant and the Treadmill Restaurant.

MENU SELECTION
A variety of menus are available, at a wide range of prices. These can be made available on request. The Hotel does not have facilities to cater for kosher delegates.

FOOD & BEVERAGE SERVICE
The Hotel is fully licensed. If wine is brought to a function, a corkage fee of R15.00 per bottle will be charged. No other alcoholic beverages will be allowed on the premises.
An 8% service fee on breakfasts/lunches/dinners/cocktails will be charged on the final food and beverage account.

PAYMENT INFORMATION
A 50% deposit is required one month prior to a function. Invoices are to be paid strictly within 7 working days.

U-shaped, tiered auditorium that seats a maximum of 70 delegates schoolroom style.
State of the art audio-visual equipment includes data projector, video machine, overhead projector, slide projector, flipcharts and blackboard.

Air-conditioners, down lighters and dimmers can be operated from the control panel situated near the lecturer/presenter.

EXHIBITION HALL
The Exhibition Hall accommodates up to 120 delegates banquet, 200 delegates cocktail, 100 delegates schoolroom and 250 delegates cinema style.
